It is interesting - I also have this obsessive symptoms

But with my 6 djembes (only 4 with skin-on), bougarabou, dundun set and plenty of accessories, I really dont see your situation too serious yet What´s worst, the most difficult thing seems to be to sell a drum of mine, even if I dont play on it !

I am catching up , its now

How can you remember everything so accurately?!! I forgot to mention at least 2 of my oldest djembes, and I am sure there is more I dont remember in this moment! So the total number is really thretenning! Sorry again!

Ok Atam, you win (for now ), but remember I've only been at this since last Sept. (oh, did I mention I'm a bit competitive? It didn't come up before because I knew that BD (Before Djembe).

Nerd, where did you order your hardcase? I'm actually serious--I've been looking for one and haven't been able to find anything suitable/reasonable.

I found the Hardcase source on-line, but as you mention, there's no US distribution, and shipping internationally is obscene (I think they wanted about 100 pounds for the case and 100 pounds for shipping). It's really too bad, because they seem to have a really good product for a good price (assuming you could get it for ~$150 US). It's kinda surprising hard cases aren't the standard for carrying djembes around instead of the cloth/padded designs.

Let us know what you think once you get it.

If that question was for me, I already have it.

Its a good case with bad wheel assembly. Mine wheel came out in the first air travel. It was secured by a weak washer. I bought some hardware and wheels and made it quite strong.

The case itself is very good. In the 14" djembe case, i put my djembe with the padded case. It fits and doesn;t move at all, so I have the hard plastic and the padded protection. No problem thinking if the base will fit or not.
