How is everyone doing? Hope all is well! I am a beginner and am still learning the basics of the djembe. I purchased my first small 9" diameter djembe in 2013 and have been playing for fun since. A few months ago, I decided that I want to take the djembe seriously. I finally upgraded and built my first full size djembe from Guinea made of Lenke. I am still having difficulties with tuning the djembe since it was my first build. Using a single handed rope puller and a wooden dowel only. I think I have talked enough, but I am looking forward to learning a lot from everyone!
