On a totally off-topic subject, I was cruising downtown Santa Cruz CA after watching my favorite Odissi dance troupe (Shakti Bakti) and came upon this busker.

I must have been a good boy in my previous incarnation.

I guess it is more folky guitar style rather than bluesy. It originates from ragtime really. It is his version of Blind Boy Fullers Pistol Slapper Blues. He plays the harmonica on some versions. Just a bit faster version really.

Speaking of the blues, 'Feel Like Going Home' by Martin Scorsese is a good documentary showing the links between the Blues and African music.
