Any chance you know of some techniques or explanation on how to build gonis on the net. I have a goni that someone broke on me. I'm thinking the neck was crap wood anyways with knots in it. Snapped at the knot.

With goni you mean kamelen ngoni or djeli ngoni like bassekou kouyate is playing?

Yea it's a Kamelen n'Goni. Cheers for the links. If you've seen any links for building a d'eli n'goni i'd like to see them too. It is a well cool instrument.

The closest to it is this video. I don't know any other. But it looks easier and in parts the same as with kamelen ngoni. The difference seems to be in how to attach the bridge:
